Artist's Comments
I have no idea what category to put this under...This was an Intro to Fibers project during which we had to coil a basket. Mine turned into more of a sculptural piece than a basket, and the form is meant to imitate that of an Iris (the flower), though abstracted.
The lines of the petals are more like blind contours of the original shapes. Paper/Nylon core material, wire, wrapped with yarn. |
